Some issues that are not in the CNN/Fox media world

Nader takes on the issues that corporate candidates, Obama/McCain, refuse to address. The Nader/Gonzalez campaign promotes:

  • Single-payer, Canadian-style national health insurance
  • Rapid and comprehensive military and corporate withdrawal from Iraq
  • Crackdown on the corporate welfare and crime that cost Americans their pensions and jobs
  • Labor law reform and repeal of the anti-union provisions of the Taft-Hartley Act
  • Overturning the Patriot Act
  • Solar-based sustainable energy
These points are posted as suggestion of things that could be in the area of debate and conversation with what's important right now. There are several others that come to mind (ie Education, Resource depletion, etc) but the point is the same.

Will you be drafted into the same "wedge" issues as the past 3 decades? (abortion, marriage, medicare, taxes, and the other one I can't think of right now). They're even called wedge issues. What do you think the purpose of a wedge is for? I assert some purposes: Consensus, Opinion, Spin, Rhetoric. Keep arguing amongst ourselves over wedge issues so the things that matter do not enter the discussion.

Or will you demand & say something new?
